Saw them at Sheffield this year and they were brilliant. I'll be ok for work, I sometimes watch NFL late games and still manage an hours kip before work lol.

It's to do with his guitar style - the use of delay, reverbs etc. So I'm led to believe.
Because he was young once and thought it sounded cool.

Out of interest why does the preachy w@nker travel all year to avoid paying taxes ANYWHERE and then preach to non millionaire TAXPAYERS and Governements about our/their responisbity to poor people?
Edge is called the edge for 2 reasons according to Bono....
He originally used to sit on the 'edge' of the group and not really join in much when they first got together and Edge's brother Dick was in the band....
Other reason is that he's got a pointy edge shaped head!
