Anyone watch it?
Just got round to the last few nights and was underwhelmed to say the least. Found it very dull and Eddie Izzards acting very wooden and unbelievable.
I liked it though it felt a bit rushed
Don't subscribe to Sky, have an aversion to Murdoch getting any of my money.
I'm halfway through and really enjoying it.. having kept the company of pirates most of my life I'm finding it very engaging so far..
Izzards performance is very pirate-like, you'd have to blame your imagination if you're not getting it IMO.. and the filming's been very well done with all the notorious difficulties of filming olden day maritime tales..

got them all recorded, will start watching tonight
Missed the boat, so to speak, worth looking out for as a repeat then?

We use Virgin Media so we're not giving money direct to Murdoch - it makes watching sky 'ok', I'm told.
Didn't watch the second one - I thought it was generally pretty well done, though (my wife disagreed hence the absence of episode 2 from my life).
I thought it was excellent.
I thought Izzard was superb and as a big fan of his stand up, he let a few of his classic traits into his role.
ta chaps, had seen this advertised, but not a Sky subscriber, and had forgotten about it.

sorry, yes I realise hence 'direct' - I should also have added some sort of 'I know that using a middle man to pass the money on makes no difference' smiley but couldn't see one.
we finished watching it last night. Thought it was good and quite entertaining for all, incl our boys, aged 5 and 9. Last 10 mins was anticlimax.....seemed like it just kinda petered out.
Crap end,resk ok. Ben Gunn done very well.
I thought Izzard was superb too, quite an amazing multi talented person if you ask me.
Wish it had been strung out into more episodes if anything.
TBH, Treasure Island was the best bit of TV I watched over xmas, the only dissapointment for me was This Is England '88, I was looking forward to that as well.

That was the only weak part for me. Elijah Wood is an awful actor
I downloaded it last night - thought it was a complete series given the amount of billboard advertising it seemed to have...
