Hoping to stay in central London this Saturday coming, best to pay £80 now and book online with Travelodge, or would it be cheaper to just walk in at 11pm? (I guess they would normally have rooms available at weekends?
Any other recommendations for hotels, cheapish and in Central London.

I usually have a look on Laterooms.com or similar, the nominal discounts often bear little relation to what something's actually worth, but it will at least give you a feel of what's doable on your budget.
I stayed in the NH hotels place on Kings cross road recently for about that price - it was a considerably better experience that the travelodge in the same area. I would NEVER stay in the TL near Euston ever again, man it was grim!
Try a "topsecret" hotel on lastminute.com. Some basic detective work can usually work out where it is so you're rarely let down
