Hi all,
Going on holiday on Friday, and only just started to think about money...
After a couple days in Germany, we (gf and I) head to Malaysia for 7 days, and then to Thailand for 12 days.
I've done a bit of reading on MSE, some good advice, but still not too sure about where/when to convert money.
Initial idea was to just take out £200 worth of Malaysia Ringgit, and £300 worth of Thai Baht (we're doing the whole holiday on a budget, we're staying with relatives first couple nights in Malaysia, and we've booked accommodation for most of the other nights in MY).
However, not too sure if I want to be carrying all that cash through Malaysia before we even get to Thailand.
I have Natwest debit and credit cards, from what I can work out to withdraw abroad with the debit card it's 2.75% plus 2% up to a maximum of £5, so would make sense to take out larger amounts of money in one go.
So maybe just take out £50 worth of Thai Baht, and take out more once we get into the country?
So also, any recommendations for where to exchange currency over here (if I go for £200ish Ringgit and £50 Baht), considering I need it by Friday? MSE suggests this is the cheapest, anyone used them?

Credit card wise, transactions just have a 2.75% fee, so would make sense for hostels etc. However, I'm always a little cautious about using cards in general abroad- or is that just me being silly?
Ta, Duane.
