Any recommendations or places to avoid?

Try Buchanans for towbars in Cambuslang. Got mine done there, albeit a few years ago, and they were the cheapest around, good service from them also.

Buchans in Rutherglen, good guy. Even fitted a towbar to my Fabia which wasn't actually allowed... 😆
Was £250 2 years back.

4th'd for Buchans, althought to be fair Indespension in Milngavie where very good too when I used them

Not Glasgow and not a recommendation as such as I've never been a customer - but just seen a thing on my FB about Ayrshire Towbar Centre have a clearance sale on at the mo - so there might be a bargain if they've got something that suits you
