Dave (I think post Mercury Prize win) really showcasing UK hip-hop/grime;
good one!
it really strips away some of the show and lets you see how well some people can actually play.
I also like hearing big productions reworked for a small band - the Torro y Moi one - he's no singer (obviously that's not the point, neither's Mac Miller. Or Dave) but a three piece band are carrying what are big productions on the album, with Chuck singing some of the synth parts and it just sounds good. To me.
Don't watch much of this sort of thing - but anderson paak's drumming "that kiddies, is what groove sounds like"...
I got obsessed with the dakhabrakha set, listened to it everyday for about a month.
Oh man, thanks for this thread!
I bloody love Daughter, but that set is incredible. Elena's voice blows my goddamn mind.
The Lizzo one is ace! Working through some of the others.

More Dakhabrakha for you
One of the first Tiny Desks I heard from Lianne LaHavas.
I think it's only right to watch all of them.
It's fantastic. The range of artists is so broad and the quality is great.

(And check the innovative use of duct tape at 4.40 or so...)

Britney Howard and Lianne le Havas were fab.
That Run The Jewels set was amazing too
I've just watched the Coldplay one. Very good
The Lumineers one is great
