[#5926531]

Just been on hold to Scottish power to speak to someone about my options & about a couple of other things, I was on hold for 28 minutes & it's getting frustratingly close to their 7pm closing time, the phone rang at 6.55 & immidiately cut off 🙁
Anyone know who's currently offering the best duel fuel deals at the moment as I just want to change companies now, bloody call centre employees playing stupid games 👿

It was moore a very bad rant at the call centre staff for cutting me off, but yes I tried Uswitch & I could only do slightly worse than the tarrif I am on now, I was hoping to speak to an actual person & see if I was on the best available tarrif they had to offer based on my actual consuption.

Heyho.

Youll probably save pennies, as they all seem to be about the same, the only ones who make money are the comparison sites who refuse to state what their commision is.

There's some kind of deal that my local council (Cambs) are doing whereby lots of people get aggregated into some kind of cut-price deal, the "Big community switch".

www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/switch
http://www.energyhelpline.com/

No idea if it's going to save any money but I've signed up.

Some of the smaller 'independent' companies are quite competitive, and come with two bonuses - 1) warm fuzzy feeling inside by using slightly more ethical source of energy and 2) when you call up, they speak to you straight away and are generally quite pleasant to deal with. Try Good Energy or LoCO2 Energy.

(I don't work for them)

Even if you can't do much better you can get money just for switching, plus it keeps the buggers on their toes.

I saved about £350 a year through a comparison website, and switched in about 15 mins. Not sure it is the absolute best deal, not all companies are on the comp websites because they usually have to pay to be included, but I couldn't be arsed to research them all and at £350 for 15 mins work, I was pretty happy.

Of course, the can't be arsed attitude is what led me to staying on my existing tariff for far too long hence why I was clearly overpaying!!!!!
