I read recently that the entire NASA programme, everything ever dating back, what, fifty years plus, cost the US less than it spends annually on defence.

I'd concur that's a bit of a bargain.

Yeah, but everything seems a bargain when you compare it to the most expensive thing on earth!
2012 = $707.5 billion (compared to the next largest of china at 143billion)

Uni, so that my entertainment and dining options aren't restricted to free Internet porn and instant noodles (unless I want them to be).

Squire guitars - quality now almost as good as the American made stuff - more innovative designs too.

That'll be squier and well yes and no depending on what it is and where its made

Except that, round here at least, Dominos pizzas start at more than twice the price of the independent takeaways, so even at half price, two-for-one or whatever, they're more expensive. And horrid.

Same for pizza hut.

Epiphone guitars and the BBC (radios 1,3,4,6 and occasionally 1xtra) are my good value things. Especially since 6 sorted Saturdays out - 3 hours of Gilles Peterson followed by 3 hours of Craig Charles, worth the licence fee alone, that.

Civilisation 4. Cost me a tenner, I might never stop playing it, must have sunk hundreds of hours into it. Marvellous.
