That a Roadrunner is an actual animal and not a fictional cartoon character.

As is a Tasmanian devil - maybe those folk at Looney Tunes wanted to sack off the "new character development" meeting that day.

It was only when I watched the film of the same name that it clicked that the us state i believed to be called AR-KANSAS, and some other place in the US called AR-KAN-SAW aee in fact one and the same

I had the same thing for years with Yosemite Sam.

That a nighttime hard-in is there to stop your dick falling off because of a lack of blood running through it.

That a nighttime hard-in

I'm pretty sure that's not going to be a pleasant experience. Still I guess it meets the "surprise" criteria.

is there to stop your dick falling off

But if that's what the Dr recommends I'll risk it rather than the consequence. I mean, the person who prescribed this was your dr, right?

That 32t chainrings are the same size as 32t cassette cogs.

How is this surprising?

When puffer fish are "puffed", they are full of water, not air.

Trees don’t actually move to tackle you when you pass them... skiing.

This can't be true. Otherwise I'd have to face the very real prospect that it's my fault.

@nickc

Does anyone else have that occasional -WTF- about balancing on a two wheeled vehicle? You know where you actually start to think about the mechanics of it, about how your body mostly does the actual work of keeping the mass centred on the wheels, while you think about other shit…At the same time!

I believe that the question of how bicycles balance is still an unsolved physics problem?
