It is beholden of me, without doubt, to announce to my fellow forumites that two of our number have become matrimonially enhitchened, in the culmination of a romance that began on these very interweb pages.
My incredibly-good-friends-who-I-love-to-little-pieces Martyn and Helen, aka MartynS and Solapowered off of here, met, as some of you may know, on a STW Peaks Pootle back in the day (so that's another reason for the worthy veneration of St Pook of PeakMTB).
On Friday they tied the knot in New Mills (indeed a concrete jungle where dreams are made true, there's nothing you can't do, when you're in New Mills), and are currently honeymooning in that there Glentress. Please join me, fellow work-shirkers, in wishing them every happiness.

Some fab news for a change.
I was on that 'Pook's Peak's Pootle' when the lovely couple first clapped eyes on each other. T'was not only romance, but the beginning of a great friendship for myself with Helen too.
We were lucky enough to actually be invited to said wedding (for once not having to gatecrash for the chance of a 'free buffet'). It was one of the best weddings ever. Everyone was there to celebrate with this fabulous couple (and celebrate we did).
They'll probably be out riding their mtbikes as we speak, so a perfect honeymoon.

Thank you all for your kind words.
It was indeed a lovely do, made very special by our pals basically being amazing.
we did indeed meet on one of Pooks pootles (thank you Chris) the one that started in the carpark at edale if anyone else was there.
I’m very pleased STW exists.. and continues to exist so thank you all
sadly swizzles didn’t do the catering…
