BBC 2, tonight at 2100. A repeat, but seriously good. Well worth watching.

The number of younger people who seem genuinely interested in the anniversary has surprised me.
Wife's a teacher, they've had assemblies, lots of class discussions.
Lots of coverage on local news too, especially the local 'Pals' battalions.

Good observation Rusty WW2 always overshadowed WW1 as I was surrounded by family that served in WW2 (I was born in 63 so by the late sixtys they were hardly old men) although I did talk to a bloke who lived in the same village as me in the 1970s who was a medic in the infantry in ww1 and a medical officer in ww2, he was pleasant but a bit distant in conversation.
