I watched it last night and agree with you. Not a single likable or well developed character in it . I've now seen parts of Ray Winstone I never wanted to see.

I got the impression that they tried to copy Heat slightly with the gun battle as the bad guys came out of the bank with trench coats and masks, the ongoing relationship issues in the background and the moody night time city bits.

I thought it was disappointing and whilst I wasn't really expecting too much; it was even worse than I'd ever imagined.

In its time The Sweeney TV series was the dogs. Saw it recently though and it hadn't aged well.

Unfortunately Heat was well directed, flawed characters with a high tempo plot.

As regards the fire fight across London, what the chuff happened to the villain who escaped on the push bike?

It was an indicator how quickly it found its way to DVD.

I don't even think it was a singlespeed 29er fatbike; so the film was always going to fail.

Edit - Although bad guy did get away!!!!

glad me and the wife aint the only ones...

i was actually p*ssing myself, ray winston must have taken 400 pot shots at the villain and must have hit every hand rail, wall, sign in the area.

as for the 'plan b' guy, i think that will be his last film, was he p*ssed during filming or stoned off his face or does he always talk like that?

also theres always something gross about a fat old bloke enjoying sexy time with a lovely young lady aswell.

you really wonder why they bother sometimes...

It's a shame the Focus ST was powered by a 1.6 Ecoboost!!!

Well I'm struggling to think of anything from the 70's that has aged well. Even me.

I used to live around the area where they filmed it, we always seemed to be running into them...We weren't blaggers. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Apart from that plan B bloke who can't act to save his life,I didn't think it was too bad a film...But then I never thought the original series was all that,so I wasn't expecting much either.....
