Its been raining quite a bit. Anyone fancy putting a number on how many pairs of ruined Adidas Samba by Sunday evening then? 😆
Got tickets this year for T in the park, cannot wait to see them there.....
I've got the shitty job of picking my mate up after the as he's up from London and staying at mine - He had a spare ticket going but my gf is going in to hospital Friday afternoon 😐
Binners , I bought a new pair of suede Puma's for the event but now going to rock some green wellies for the night.

Deadly I don't hate the stone roses, but I can't see the point of going to a gig.

So here's an idea. Don't go.
"TAKE THAT for dads"
Baggies, Berghaus and Beanies at the ready!!
There's gonna be a lot of dad dancing there today - can't wait!!
going tonight with some friends
really looking forward to the occasion if not the vocals, i think deep down a lot of people will expect it to be a bit crap but wont care
looking forward to seeing the scream if we can get through the park & ride in time
<digs out flares and reni hat>
TAKE THAT for dads"
THIS
And DD I have seen them a few times back in the day and I actually recall at least one of the gigs reasonably well 😉
I hope Ian uses auto tune is all I am saying
Seen primal Scream as well when it mattered
seen primal scream "when it mattered" as well
also saw them last year on the screamadelica tour and they were still superb
looking foward to them almost as much as the roses
The price of 4 x cans of delicious Fosters from the Spa on Whittaker Lane went up from £4 to £6.50 this morning apparently.
Oh bore off JY.
Waiting here with a cider (only £4) to see if binners makes it out from town alive.
Oh ok I hope you enjoy yourself even without the beautiful penis being there
Sat at home waiting on my mate arriving from 'darn sour', taxi booked, boots on, baldness and middle-age polished, preened and ready!
Might have a G&T whilst I wait!
I suppose I should think about making a move from the pub in Chorlton. We've been saying that for the last couple of hours 🙂
Jealous - I've just been chatting to my mate who's stuck in traffic around Newcastle under Lyme.
GET A MOVE ON!!!
I'm going tomorrow. Anyone live near by so that I can park on your drive. There is cash in it for you...
Mate has gone tonight, said travel to the park was a frickin nightmare - all modes rammed
am really jealous.
but will see them at a festival in Oslo in about 6 weeks. if they are still together that is
:o)

Driving up on Sunday from cardiff. if any locals can babysit a ford focus for the evening it would be much appreciated. Terrahawk ok to pm u?
Well, well, well.
I had hoped for so much. I guess I had very high expectations. I'd probably built it up to be an amazing gig.
They were ****ing awesome. 😀
Just got back... what a gig 8) "see, we've still got it"!
although, had a little chuckle at the irony of Ian Brown + 70 odd thousand middle aged blokes singing "the past was yours, but the futures mine. You're all outta time." 😆
There is no way the roses are ever going together to produce that feeling that happened at that time ever again, it's nice to pretend to repeat that, and it's still great music imo. Who is it for? It's a cash in on an idea, or a mythology of an era, an idea. good luck to 'em I say..
That was absolutely awesome! They put on a bloody great show!!!!!
Worth putting up with GMPTE taking their ideas for a mass transit system from the third reich's highly successful, though often criticised, example at Belson
I'm glad you had a great time binbin, how was ressurection? everything you hoped?
Went last night also and had a great time. Great atmosphere, no trouble ( that I saw of) and great bands. The wailers were very good. As were primal scream. As for the roses overall quite impressive. Sure browns vocals were drowned out by the band on a couple of songs but on the whole he sounded ok. Squires and Reni, well what can I say, class the pair of 'em. 8)
It feels cliched to bang on about the fact that Ian Brown can't sing; his voice can still stun you with its sheer inability to hold a tune, particularly in the company of such fantastic musicians.
^ found that in a review of the gig!
I was warned by a guy I work with, who'd seen them loads of times 'back in the day', that they could be great or pretty awful, but I was blown away by how well they played. The crowd helped at times, by drowning out his voice completely, but overall it was just a great night.
I had a fantastic night emsz! Really really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was fantastic! The resurrection was always going to be the highlight, and john squire did his full on Led Zep-esque guitar god role for it 🙂 Reni was immense!!!. There were the predictable Ian Brown duff notes, but d'ya know what? ..... Who ****ing cares. It lived upto the hype, then some!!! I'd happily go back and watch it again tonight! And tomorrow!
Couldn't agree more binners 8)

Nice one . sounds great. the report i heard said prety much the same - its not about that , if you want pitch perfect go see Michael Bublé 🙂
I'd happily go back and watch it again tonight! And tomorrow!
Same here 🙂
Binners it wouldn't be right if Ian could 'actually' sing...
I've seen primal scream at Glasto when I was 13-14 or something, I think the lead singer had been a bit liberal with the drugs. 😆 It was soooo shit, he just about managed to insult every-one.
Bet the hairs stood up on your neck when that drum intro hit...
Fools Gold was just excellent...
Yeah it was excellent. That John Squire fella's not bad on the guitar!
Agree with binners , bloody brilliant night and I got to here them sing ten story. Better than Glasgow green in 1990.
echo what binners said, bloody brilliant !!!!!
with it being a work night we didn't get there till primal scream literally walked on stage, perfect timing. didn't fancy being there all day queuing for food, drink and toilets.
weather gods were kind (and no i didn't wreck my suede samba)
never been to a gig before were i've sung the words AND the guitar notes so much before.
we managed to get back to the park & ride quite early so didn't have any problems getting off the site. reckon it will get a lot worse though.
They were toight as...
It's still playing in my head now. Like others, I'd gladly go back there this evening and tomorrow to see them again. A few smartarses will have had to eat their words today. And that's never a bad thing. 😀
