Anyone watching this?
Is that Downham church?
Any idea which house they've used for Crickley Hall itself?
Dunno.
I started to watch it and it's doing my head in. If my house creaked like that I'd be out with hammer and nails and the floorboards would be riddled with fixings.
A so-so book turned in to s*** TV.
GRRRRRRR........

Utter poop Crinkley Bottom was scarier ! 😆
My girlfriend worked on this- filmed in chapel-en-le-frith and Clitheroe, she says.
Definitely Downham Church and the Ashetton Arms in Downham - kick in the arse from Clitheroe.
Sunday night drama in "dull as dishwater" SHOCKER!
Yeah, I turned it off myself. I use to love reading James Herbert's books, but his ghost stories were just plain dull. "Moon", "48". "Sepulchre", "The Magic Cottage" on the other hand, were brilliant.
Is it just me or was the acting really wooden and poor?
The youngest daughter poured more emotional content into her part than the entire cast combined.
Started to watch it then realised, i had read the book, the acting i think was sourced from the same tree as the tw*ty book
editing was a bit poor, there were a few scenes that had the potential to make you jump but just didn't work, spent most of it thinking what a great place to ride, next week might be better.
I was rather looking forward to this. I read the book a few years ago and thought it okay.
I'll still give it a whirl despite the -ve reviews up there ^.
TBH - I'd watch any old nonsense with Suranne in it!
I think it used to be a lot funnier when Noel Edmonds was in it.
