... I turned the telly off. How does he earn a living as an actor?
He is always a good sport on quiz shows. Not sure why there are so many haters.
Should have kept it on as they all ripped the piss out of him mercilessly.
Another reason not to watch Eastenders apparently now.
I've never heard of either Danny Dyer or Big Fat Quiz.

+1
I feel strangely content.
Funniest bit of telly I've seen in ages. Had tears in my eyes.
PMK2060 - we'll never be that intelligent, obviously.
Danny Dyer always seems like a good sort to me
Only seen him in a gangster movie and that one where he went looking for hard men.
He was both an appalling actor and a terrible hardman locator/engager. So that's how I judge him.

Really? Always seemed to me to be an utter twunt. Sadly, as Mrs RBIT watches Eastenders, he'll be hard to avoid.
Thought he was good in human traffic.
Should have given up then though.
Not very good actor happily comes on quiz and gets shit ripped out of him. Takes it very well. Everyone's smiling at the end. But still some people have to masturbate themselves into a frenzy of not knowing anything about either him or the show. It's a strange ol' world when one is so aroused by one's own complete ignorance of popular culture.
He plays a part, and that's that.
Don't know what there is to complain about. 😕

FTFY
While I'm familiar with the name, I could not have identified him in an ID parade, or said what it is he actually does. And while I'm at least as conversant with pop culture as you are, DD, in fact probably more so, I don't watch, and never have, East Enders, or any of those pop culture quiz shows, so like hamish, I've never heard of the big fat quiz either.
And I'm content in my ignorance of such stuff; I have much, much better things to do with my time.
So there. 😛
Don't normally watch Big Fat Quiz, but we thought the line up looked good this year - Jimmy Carr, Dara O'Braian, Noel Fielding, Jonathan Ross, Kristen Schaal, no James Corden or David Walliams, it looked promising. But I've gotta say, I don't think it's a show for me. Jack Whitehall is not that funny, either.
Big Fat Ad-break of the Year? Could be a great 30 or 45 min show that.
Danny Dyer as self deprecating as always, happy to have the piss ripped out of himself.
Have said before that I've met him on set and he's a nice bloke, he is fully aware he has been in some crap but as he says himself people pay him to be in it.
Sorry to run against the STW stream of having an opinion with no experience of the subject matter...
Aah, didn't realise he had acted in Eastenders.
That explains *a lot*.
Aah, didn't realise he had acted in Eastenders.
He hasn't. He only joined the cast on Christmas Day. And 'acted' is using the term very loosely.
And 'acted' is using the term very loosely.
Indeed. I would imagine he shone like an Oscar winner against the rest of the cast though.
The in-laws had EastEnders on last night, and as we were sleeping in the lounge, we had to sit through it before we could go to bed.
Dyer made his debut. I think he was supposed to be playing the bad man, but the expression plastered on his face was that of someone who had sharted and was enjoying the spreading warm sensation smug in the satisfaction that he always carries a pair of backup pants for just such an occasion.
I get what his schtick is, but I can't fathom his continuing employment.
I've never heard of either Danny Dyer or Big Fat Quiz.
It must have been tempting not to click on this thread, or bother commenting on it then ?
Glad you resisted.
I have much, much better things to do with my time.
Like posting on a thread about someone you've no idea about, appearing on a program you've never heard of.
Yeah, it's sounds like you are snowed under.
Big Fat Quiz is the comedy highlight of Christmas telly every year.
I guess if you prefer 'Len Goodman's Perfect Christmas' then you ain't going to get it.
Have said before that I've met him on set and he's a nice bloke, he is fully aware he has been in some crap but as he says himself people pay him to be in it.
That's not what he was saying here hen he seemed to think he had taken part in a misunderstood work of genius. Maybe he'd just taken waaaaaaaay too much coke.
He is far from the best actor, hasn't acted in a show or film I have enjoyed and I've only sent a clip or two from his TV show about hard men. However I can't see what there is to complain about him being on a comedy show.
I can't work out if he takes himself seriously, is sending himself up, or is taking himself seriously while sending himself up.
The actual lack of any acting ability makes his 'work' unfathomable.
Oh, and if there's one 'celeb' who I would say is a cert to be on the Peruvian marching powder it would be him. Sean Walsh is in second place........
In his advice column in zoo he suggested one way for someone to get over a break-up was to 'cut his ex's face so no one will want her'. Any doubt over his admission to dick club can be dispelled by watching 'real football factories'. Shit actor. Utter twunt.
Blimey, some people really have had a bad Christmas. 😆
You sound like an utter dullard
ah well, ladies love him..
yes that's right.. even your post feminist, latte drinking, guardian reading, university educated, yoghurt weaving, erudite, no-nonsense PTA wives fantasise about him sexually..
suck it up
Danny Dire 🙂
He's like a really shit Jason Statham
Duggan 😀
Someone has been kind enough to put it up on youtube:
I can't bear Jimmy Carr's laugh...
He was a lot funnier than that twunt Jack Whitehall.
