As the wife beat me to this thread, I'll say nothing. Guess I would have found out in tonight's ****OS update.

Every one of my ex's has much preferred me to be clean shaved. Which often caused issues, cos I'm a lazy bugger, and hate shaving!

I'm far from the hairiest man in the world, and though I can grow a proper beard as opposed to bumfluff like some of you blondies (no names eh! 😉 ), it does take longer than most men. So I normally had 3/4 days of stubble, which was enough to be very irritating apparently. Anyway...

The biggest thing I find is that with facial hair, I look maybe in my mid-late 20's (I'm actually 32), when I'm clean shaven I look about 21 tops! Which is cool in many respects, but has its drawbacks too.

Grew a beard for a while the other week, went out into town for a couple of hours to see a mate for his GF's birthday, and got chatting to a couple of her (very young) friends. Both were immediately very complimentary on how a beard suited me! Obviously not all women are the same...

Oh, and have had a pair of bugger grips, sadly not as meaty as Bradley's but they still provide a reasonable grabbing point, ever since I was able to grow them. For some reason I really can't abide men not having some kind of burners, it looks wrong!

Unless you look like a stunning model, wimin wont like you anyway. Even the fat or slightly overweight/worn out ones seem to think they deserve better looking men than they deserve.

So do whatever you want. Unshaven I doubt any of us were a catch anyway.

Stubble is the real man's way.

I can't be bothered to shave, but I'm not preening myself cultivating facial hair either.

Congratulations! Once again you've surpassed yourself with your weapons-grade stupidity. But this time served with an intercontinental ballistic onslaught of misogyny and sexism. Three for the price of one. Hurray! Well done you!

It truly staggers me sometimes what goes on inside that cavernous medicine ball that balances so precariously on your shoulders. Spacehopper-head!

Never ever had a beard..i tried once in my 30's and my friends called me Prince because he cannot grow one either 😳

Can grow a moustache so I have the look nailed if i ever get into the love that dare not speak its name, cant grow sideys at all either

Still I am the wrong side of 40 and have all my own hair so swings and roundabouts

Tend to think a goatee looks ok on some folk and stubble but full beard looks a bit wrong

+1 for I would do Binners if I get a chance 😉
PS

Even the fat or slightly overweight/worn out ones seem to think they deserve better looking men than they deserve

WTF and to quote Lady Astor
I married beneath me. All women do

😆 great thread chaps and chapesses.

Some men suit beardage, some don't. DezB has terrific sidies but, for example, on Singletrackmind they wouldn't look good.

Another example, Jensen Button looks really hot with his stubble. On Lewis Hamilton, it would look silly.

And as for this shaving your legs malarkey ... don't get me started. 🙄

Oh yes, that was a very nic pic of George, it's made my afternoon. 😉

Apparently my missus thinks I have a rough explorer look going if I sport stubble.

I prefer just having sideys though, mostly because keeping a beard at the thick stubble point is a total pain in the arse.

Now, for me a bit of stubble is fine, a nice pair of neatly trimmed sideboards/burns also fine.
However as for the full moosetach and beard - yuk.
The thought of food and other debris being stuck there for ages is so off putting, also it ages a chap and reminds me of a school teacher I once had.

Hubby has very fine eyebrows and I do find it funny when I use my own shiny locks to make a mini wig for each of his eyebrows, he finds it childish and tells me to go back and finish the washingup/baking and sewing.

I'm married to a man with a beard, he grew it especially for our marriage, I quite like it now and it does suit him. Doesn't bother me but I do make him promise to keep it well trimmed, can't be having whiskers all over the place. What amuses more is that although all the hair I ever saw him have has been black, his beard is a mixture of black, grey, ginger and a couple of blonde/white!

Beard PSA 😆

I keep a full short beard, Mrs Shake likes it a lot. But it has to be like the middle bowl of porridge; not too short (spiky), not too long (tickly). Juuuuust right. Met her with a beard (me, not her), I've been off the hook for shaving ever since!

Miss CD hates me being clean shaven as she says I the look much younger than her. She hated my Movember tash though.

I get told off if I shave my beard off.

It's a shame really, as clean shaven I'd only have to pay half fare on buses. Probably.

my beard hides more of my face. I consider this a service to society as I am a fugly muggins. Women do not appreciate the facial hair, but at least they don't spontaneously vomit, which the result of a naked tazzy face 🙂

I can't grow a beard. Someone one told me, years ago, that a goatee would suit me.
"Oh yeah?" says I "I'll show you!"

For 2 weeks or more I diligently shaved myself a goatee. But my facial hair is patchy, at least 4 different colours and there's only about 4 hairs available to join the tache bit to the chin bit. I actually look like a vagrant.
After 2 weeks we all agreed that I was right and I should shave.

Thing is, I'm lazy. And Mrs PP prefers me freshly shaven so I'm caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

I did the beard thing a couple of weeks ago. I think I looked rather splendid, as did mrs_oab. One aborted snog however and I was sent to the bathroom with a fresh razor...shame.
