Rat dog is quite apt because they were originally bred to catch rats in cargo boats. Well, they were until the sailers ran out of food and they would eat them. See quite a few of them at ring craft classes that we take our dog to. Not a fan of them tbh, any dog that's smaller than a cat isn't a dog IMHO
