The first track from the very long-awaited new album 'Songs of a Lost World' has just been released and it is ohh so lovely. I am so excited for the album to finally come out. And apparently there is some 'big news' coming tomorrow too 🙂

Whooo!

I'll give it a listen later, but is it Happy Cure, Sad Cure or Dark Cure?

Too much to hope for a return to a Seventeen Seconds era sound?

Heard it live a few years ago, they opened with it… sounded huge.

Mary Anne Hobgoblin played it other day.

I really like it. Reminds me very much of Disintegration era.

Looking forward to the tape coming out.

Just listening now. Initial thoughts:

Someone needs to tell the drummer to chill out.

And I’m a drummer.

Bit of a dirge, maybe i've grown out of them, and my favourite album is Pornography. Hmmm.

IMG_5562Saw The Cure at the end of 2022 on the Songs of a Lost World tour. They were superb.
Looking forward to the new LP release.

Research shows that they'll work as well as Cure tickets in most instances.

Oh good – just watching the Live from Orange gig I remember from my youth last night.

I was in Orange as a teenager. Sat for 10 minutes in the amphitheatre and watched a bit of the sound check. Then had to do family tourism stuff what lots of teen Kevin stomping around.

@dove1 - I was there too (Leeds First Direct). It was wonderful. He cannot string a sentence together between songs but somehow he can still sing so hauntingly beautifully.
