I could get tickets for the golden circle right in front of the stage
I hate the fact that this is a thing, especially from a band with such working-class roots. The people who get to the front should be the ones who camp out for 24 hours before the gates open, not the ones with deep pockets.

Imagine being the band - all the actual fans near the back, & a bunch of bored looking rich folks hanging about at the front of the gig.
Live music will eat itself if carries on pricing big gigs like this.
Donnington Monsters of Rock 1991, AC/DC headlining after Metallica, highlights - Harvester of sorrow in the mosh pit, and Thunderstruck, this one:
it was wild, good times
I could get tickets for the golden circle right in front of the stage but they were close to £2500 each.
Is that where the mosh pit used to be?
I was never a fan of AC/DC, and after their absolutely ludicrous prima donna behaviour at Donington in 2010 that's unlikely to change anytime soon.

Yeah, it's all getting a bit Roy Keane 'prawn sandwiches' isn't it.
Is that where the mosh pit used to be?
Exactly 🙁
There's actually an interesting youtube vid about ticket pricing and how no matter what price they charge they still sell out so if there is money to be made then why shouldn't that be the selling price?
Its not something I entirely agree with but it does have a point.
I have more of an issue with multi millionaires flying all over the world in their private jets living the good life that the vast majority will never experience and then they say you are the one that should be funding the charity donations.

Doubt it. This is live music for people who don't really like gigs. Big event, big names well past their best, overpriced beer, but at least the toilets are acceptable.
16 minutes to sell out....
At least it took over 50 years for the rest of the band to sell out....

Couldn't agree more. Even when I was a kid in the 70s, people who like this stuff were old and out of touch 😀
Double.post
Not used to this weird new forum set up.
(Plus at a (proper) gig, waiting for a bunch of 20somethings to appear onstage)
