In that case I'm above average.

Always nice to know you're good at something.

Mental or physical age?

Physical. For mental, just divide by 3.

Never mind mental or physical, judging by the way some bicker and whine on here, I'd say 3.

I did say it was an average. For all you coffin dodgers, there's going to be the odd whippersnapper that somehow got pulled into the STW tractor beam.

I'm going to go with 43.

I expect thats nearer the bottom of the range. I'd expect forumites under 40 to be outliers. Especially given this place has been on the go for over 15 years. I'd guess at the bulk of the forum being between 45 and 60.

This thread has been done previously (more than once). I'd have linked to the last "survey" if only the bloody Advanced Search worked.

Ah - here you go...

http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/how-old-are-you-and-what-do-you-do-results/page/2

Averag 37.46774194

That was 6 years ago, so 43 might not be too far off 🙂

42. Wish all you bloody oxygen thieves would stop cluttering up the place and leave it to dashing young thrusters like me.

33 here, think I'e been on here for a year or so. Maybe longer.

A higher average age would make sense, the BR MTB forum is a bit much sometimes, here is much more middle class and civilised.

Also explains why so many people have got better houses/bikes/cars/dogs than me too.

That's the problem with the youth of today, such a sense of entitlement (to oxygen) and no effort to earn any.....

Another youngster(ish), I'm 33, but been hanging about on and off since a colleague told me about STW in 2004/05.

Also explains why so many people have got better houses/bikes/cars/dogs than me too.

+1

Age is just a number! A number denoting how many years since you were born. Yeah, pretty much that.

47. A fantastic age for planning what bike/holiday to treat yourself to for your 50th and only 5 years after that I will be able to start irresponsibly blowing all my pension funds
