We will be lucky to get out of our group going on current ODI form. Seem a different side to the one that retained the ashes. Guess the focus was on the urn and not the world cup.
What are your thoughts? Batting seems to be the problem, so injuries ain't an excuse.
Fascinating list of names in the Canada team for an event on the Asian sub-continent 8)
That's a shocking innings if you took away Prior and Trott's knocks. Peterson and Strauss disappoint once again. Oh well, we won the ashes. ๐

To an extent they are a different side though aren't they, playing a different format of the game.
I'm not too worried about it - winning the ashes was a fantastic achievement, and it's not really fair to compare it to (non) performances in ODIs
KP is a big concern. That double hundered against Aus, was some of the best batting I have seen. He still seems to struggle with the situation and lets his ego take over, usually getting out to a stupid shot. Should he open?
Strauss can turn it around.
Bell, has proved he can make runs and his recent form in this format is a worry, still, think he should open with Strauss.
Collingwood offers nothing with the bat anymore, possibly Bopara deserves a shot as he can offer a similar bowling option to Colly.
Glad Prior was dropped down the order as this is where he makes his runs.
With everyone fit, on paper England should do well, still time before the matches really start to count. Anyway think my team would be
Strauss
Bell
Trott
Pieterson
Bopara
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Yardy
Swann
Anderson
