I'm thinking about building a 29er ss using an on-one inbred 29er and on-one carbon fork. First i need to know,

1. do i buy the same size frame as a 'normal' 26in bike or do i need to buy a smaller size to compensate for the difference in wheel size.

2. What is the stw massive's opinion on the gear ratio for said monstrosity would it still be 2:1 or something slightly less i.e 32-18 or even 32-19.

Your opionions will be:

A) valued and noted and used at a later time when said project comes to fruition.
B) completely ignored as is my choice
C) laughed at and then ignored as above

Ta

1. whatever size has a similar top-tube length to your 26" bike

2. 32:18

I find I can run the same gearing because the 29er rolls better.

Same size.

Same size. I normally run 32:18, but went for 32:20 on the Roughride today - thankfully! The O-O carbon fork works well - get a nice fat rfont tyre to go with it.
