[#6238603]

Heard "This Is The Thing" by Fink the other day.
Really old track but I can't stop listening to it.
Anyone heard anything lately that has really impressed them, be it old or new?
I need some more music inspiration.

First Aid Kit are amazing.
Their voices just seem to melt together.
Never heard harmonies like it.

Make Way For Mongol Horde, by Mongol Horde. Just got the album, it's fairly rubbish frankly but the guitar on this one is just ridiculous, works so well with the drums so I can almost ignore Frank's yelpy vocals.

Love the Handsome Boy Modelling School tune - the middle of my favourite 3 tracks in a row of any album I've heard.

Not usually a fan of such vocal led dance music but a mate recently played an edit of this as his 6am set ending tune as the sun was rising and it was definitely a chest swelling feel good out in the middle of the hills moment (had absolutely nothing to do with the MDMA we had consumed for the previous 12 hrs) 😉

The song from ABBA's last album.

What a brilliant song.

You need to search for it though as that is a highly priced album beating everything you have heard hands down. If you don't like it then you have a very poor taste in music. 😆

Cool thread! Not sure I have anything to offer myself.

This is pretty ridiculous - not normally a fan of brutal dubstep but I quite like this.

That is a very funny song with a very funny video. Makes me happy. 😀

Credit to the nice young happy looking girl singing there.

I like it but I doubt it will stick.

Nahhh ... that's no good because that song/music cannot really decide the direction it's heading. A bit like someone mixing songs/music because s/he has all the equipments. This is what I called a forgetful song/music 😀

If there's a better ABBA song than Cassandra, I'd like to know about it.

I heard America by The Nice on 6Records last week, completely forgotten just how outrageously good that is.
I like the Fink record, but one that I'm really enjoying on 6Records is Luke Sittal-Singh's new one, Bottled Up Tight
He's got a great voice, and can turn out a bloody good tune. I saw him a year or so back, supporting The Staves in Bristol, and I was pretty impressed with his performance, he's really worth checking out.

This is so great.
So many different styles of music to chose from and some belting tunes that I'd have never otherwise heard.
Thanks for everyone's contributions.

Not my favourite from ABBA but the alternative is The Carpenter.

Great thread! This is the last thing that had me stop what I was doing and turn up the radio.

Then, as soon as it finished, google it to hear it again. But louder, with headphones. Quite a few times!

Repetitive, yes; Marmite, I'm sure. But it's just so startlingly weird. Hypnotic.

Now going to listen to everyone else's!

And not so recently, more like 23 years ago: The first song that really blew my socks off - affected me physically, goosebumps, chills, quickening pulse, the lot.
