After the success of asking where to stay around Betws-y-Coed I thought I'd try the Singletrack hive mind again ๐Ÿ™‚

Need to get take out on a friday night when we're staying near Betws-y-Coed. The issue is it needs to offer a gluten & dairy free option! The stag is a complete pita ๐Ÿ™‚

Any ideas? Never been to the area so could do with some local knowledge.

Cheers!

Went through this recently. Llanwrst is where you need to go, there's only a chippie in Betws I think. The Chinese was pretty good from memory. I'd Be surprised if the they could vater for someone with those needs though.

Thanks Chaps!

Llanwrst is indeed the place - they have a Gluten Free Chippy!

Once again its Team STW Forum to the rescue ๐Ÿ™‚

Excuse my ignorance but aren't all chippys mainly gluten free?
Fish (ask for it without batter), sausage, chips, burgers (without rolls), cans of pop etc.
or am I completely misunderstanding gluten free?

Depends just how gluten free you want it- batter isn't gluten free and it all tends to get fried together so it's contaminated. I'm usually happy to eat the chips (probably shouldn't but YOLO!1!oNE) but anything else is usually a no-no unless they specifically do gluten free.
