as the title says really, what are yout mpg experinces from your transporter T5's? Approaching new car time and the perennial question of whether to swap to a van has risen again. Currently getting 50mpg from an astra diesel, I know i'll not touch that but want to know how much more a van is going to cost to run...

T5 2.5, 25ish 'round the doors', 35 on a run. Dont really rag it about tho- that would be expensive!
T5 104ps, 35-36 day to day, 38-39 good run. Worked out based on fuel used vs. millage done each time I get a receipt, over about 12 months of having the van.
I do very little traffic/town driving.
My 04 2.5 130bhp with 110k on the clock used to give me 40mpg to each tank. That used to involve a mix of roads commuting from Sheffield to preston over the snake pass.
my T5 1.9 84BHP gives 38 overall, so not too bad.
