If your room and mrs can take a 5.1 system. 5.1 all the way.

BD player, surely.

What's your budget?

what the folks already said. Proper 5.1 unless you can't fit it in.

Already wired up for surround, then surround.

Not wired for surround, wire up and then surround.

Splendid...surround is the way to go then...seen a Sony BDVe2100 5.1 for a couple of hundred with banging reviews...sweet..
Appreciated..

Sound bar is ok for quality but sound is definitely coming from over there and is not surround. Got a bar, wish I'd gone with surround

Im not wires for surround. I was offered a mental deal on a Cambridge Audio TV2 soundbase.

Its good 8)

I'd bought a Phillips soundbar before- it was like a small ghetto blaster. It went back as 'faulty'. No depth.
