Why do some of them seem to have a tea towel hanging from their waist? Is they waiters?

I haven't got a clue but I liked that throw. Not so keen on his sideways passes though.

Did you never play touch rugby at school? Same thing: get the towel and that counts as a tackle

Wouldn't have happened on BBC.

Interesting stat.

Denver have been in four Superbowls (aside from this one). Won two, lost two.

Both wins were in their (white) away strip, both losses in the home orange.

Some of them have hand muffs too. What's that all about? Cold hands, chalk bag, somewhere to hide the jelly babies?

Hoping Denver gets it together to some extent otherwise won't be waiting up for the second half

It's all over now.

I'm destined to spend my life watching Denver lose Superbowls.

Seahawks completely upsetting the odds. Not pretty but a compelling game! Will the Broncos recover in the 2nd half - never seen Manning perform so poorly.

I wouldn't like to be in that locker room, that's for certain.

never seen Manning perform so poorly.

Seems the only thing he's thrown well is the game.

i can't believe this!

i picked the broncos for the win, almost easily, seeing that safety cock up at the start, idiots.

what a humiliating first quarter! 2nd quarter not much better.

i have friends i'm talking to via FB in Denver right now, they can't believe it either!

Great stuff by the Seahawks. Swarming, aggressive defence backed up with clever misdirection plays with the ball.

Shit or bust for the Broncos now, forcing it against this defence is unlikely to end well.

I always wondered what a young James Brown doing a Sting impersonation would be like.

Time for a 22minute snooze.

You could read about the stadium. Some interesting stuff I didn't know.

Have they got Metallica subbing to Jedward next year?

Was expecting a really close game - this is becoming embarrassing. Hope the Broncos have a bit of a comeback to make this interesting.

Everyone gone to bed?

Well, they didn't beat their own record, but Denver are now positions 1 and 2 in the 'biggest point difference' stakes.

The didn't have a good game, but Seattle's Defense were at the top of their game. When Manning could complete passes, he was forced so far back that he was getting two yards out of a 20-yard pass.

i've watched every superbowl since 82, this wasn't the best, but not the worst by a long way!

my sis in law who lives in Seattle will now be unbearable

I quite liked the Bruno Mars performance if only because he's a nice enough entertainer kid who is open about his James Brown and early (we hope) Michael Jackson influences/tributes/covers.

I fell asleep mid second half grrrrrr!

Awesome win for the Seahawks.

I feel for Manning, his season efforts deserved the win.

Seahawks, cos a seahawk is infinitely cooler than a horse. They'll still lose though

Great result, but my sports prediction skills obviously need a bit of work 🙂

Dammit, went to bed early to find out a linebacker got MVP costing me £60 on SportingIndex.

That was a real throwback to the 80s.

I wouldn't beat yourself up. I also predicted a Broncos win. Didn't most people - once they saw the pitch wasn't frozen or covered in snow? I wanted the Seahawks to win though and was thinking they might at the end of the first quarter. I drifted off sometime between the middle of the second, missed half time 🙁 and woke up again a few minutes into the third. Fell back asleep by the end of the third but still couldn't believe the extent of the Broncos' capitulation. 😯

Well done Seahawks. Another name on the trophy. 19 different winners in 48 championships. It'll probably be a different (but possibly not a new one) one next year too. It's one of the great things about the NFL. It throws up season after season of great games. It's a pity the SB was a bit one-sided, but nobody will be complaining in Seattle this morning.

Disappointment of the season for me was Pittsburgh's terrible start and injury list. And Cincinnati's early exit from the play-offs. Can't wait till next season already.

Thought it be a really close game with the Broncos just getting it. Seattle were all over them offense and defense, nothing went right for Bronco's from play one and Manning was getting no protection from his line.

Mate predicted the Superbowl teams at the start of the season with Seattle winning shame he didn't put any money on it.

Didn't watch it, too late for me, but thrilled that the 'Hawks got it at last! I've been sort of following American Football since it first started on C4 in the 80's, and settled on the Seahawks as 'my' team not long after, even getting a custom players shirt made up. A bit tight fitting on me now...
Great result after all this time. 😀
