we will be buying a legacy next sod the price of petrol!
A diesel Legacy is now available.
Hi, Just thought i'd add a bit! I work in a Subaru dealership and wouldn't dream of owning one. I've lost count of the amount of engines/centre diffs that get rebuilt. The average rebuild for the engines come out in excess of £4000 and serviceing costs about £350 ago. they aren't built to last, so buying an old one will be a lottery, they are not as well looked after as impreza's either as most people that are into cars would rather have something that didn't look like a brick on wheels! buy at your peril!! I know they are pretty run of the mill but you wont beat a passat or estate
Vee Dubs are living on their reputation.A Mondeo estate offers much better value.
I do have soft spot for Subarus. My Father-in-Laws' Outback has been faultless from new. It's got an air of invincibility about it.
Hi There,
I have a Forester and would echo everything repatriot said above yet we still love her.
However she is up for sale on ebay as we can no longer afford to run a second car so if your still thinking of getting one the reserve is way below current market value....

Funnily I was talking to the MOT tester this morning (petrolhead) and we were looking at a Octavia VRS up on the ramps having its wishbones and bushings replaced. Apparently its a common problem on these. He remember my Forester from last year and reckons it would easily double the mileage again 😀
Second year in a row with a cv boot on last years MOT and almost 80k miles so far 😀
