I want to frame out my basement and hang plaster board walls and ceiling I have done timber frameing before but am considering useing metal track and studs,there are 3 windows and one door in this space and i wonder what the opinion would be on metal v steel for this job especialy arround the windows.

For small jobs on old, not quite square and straight houses, I found wood was much easier.
Having thrown up partitions many years ago in an office in Liverpool, I can see why metal work was great when everything was straight and required no cutting on site.
