I have recently taken out of storage a waterproof jacket, but over the years it seems to have taken on a strange chemical/plastic type smell. It was put away dry and has no mold on it despite being washed a few time the stink has not shifted. Any ideas on something that might get rid of the smell or is it beyond help?

Hang it out on a sunny day? The UV might do something. Failing that Halo sportswash has a good reputation on here.

Bicarbonate of soda is good for absorbing smells, I have used it a few times
