Its a long way off, and i'm sure the rules will change a million times before the missus and i are ever drawing a state pension but we are looking already at the big 'R', even though its still 25 years away. Do both a husband and wife collect a full state pension each or is there such thing as married pension? The figure £165 (at current rules) seems to get mentioned a lot, so is that for each of us (we both work full time and will have at least the minimum 35 years NI contributions)?

It's individual. Go to https://www.gov.uk/check-state-pension, register and look up what you'll get (unless the rules change in the meantime).

As per Greybeard, but FYI you may need more than 35 if you contracted out in the past. The check above will tell you where you are and how many more years you’ll require.
