In light of impending developments (the disastrous Metrobus and new housing* at the Ashton Gate/Depot site) in and around Ashton Meadows/Sylvia Crowe Park, FRoGs - the Friends of Greville Smyth Park - have put up a very quick survey for users of this area. I suspect they are right to be worried about other potential developments... anyway, the survey is here (& takes about ten seconds):

"Planning concept" makes it sound as though nothing is decided, however I wonder what the reason is for the recent felling of trees alongside the path that leads into Paxton Drive (Meridian development).

They were on the other side of the fence, so land owned by Homes & Community agency I assume?

I would assume so. I don't object to new housing (provided it's well-planned, and not a stack of over-priced rabbit hutches), but it does make one wonder what else is in the pipeline... and I hope the construction phase doesn't have any implications for the pump track.
