Rooney’s overhead was the best because it came in the dying minutes to decide a Manchester derby

and he was honest enough to admit that he practised it all the time but 99 time’s out of a hundred it ended up in row Z

He didn’t half pick his moment to get it right

would have been better if Kompany and Richards had made a challenge, instead of undertaking a spontaneous gym session.  "Right Vincent, you start on lunges and I'll do squats, then we'll swap"

Anyway onto the main event of the week, Arsenal v CSK and we find Aaron Ramsey on fire!  Denied a first30min hatrick of sublime goals by a poor offside decision!

Good game for the neutral, the bus isn’t being parked - it’s not even slowing down!

Christ, that was dull! A merseyside derby without a single card tells you everything you need to know.

Hopefully Jose will be a bit more adventurous later and employ the same approach as in the second game against Liverpool. Surely the perfect time to be having a proper pop at City?

Job done !

Congratulations to Rafa ..his management team and all of the players ..there is simply no way we are going down now.

That takes us up to 10th .. with a game in hand over Everton and I would now love it ( Keegan stylee) if we finish above that smug cheeting fraudster Fat Sam ..

Thats also two Smeichels we have lobbed from well outside the box ..

Rafa for manager of the season !

Now to sit back and watch that other slightly less important game from Manchester ..

It really is a less important game!

The title is already wrapped up regardless and City are resting half their team because of the CL. Bit of a weird one.

If Sterling could hit a barn door with a shovel, we’d be 4 down by now.

We’re all over the place at the back. Just being taken apart. Just like they’ve done to everyone else this season.

As Gary Neville has just pointed out, Pogba’s agent was being a bit optimistic to imagine City would want him. I doubt he’d get a game in this squad on his present form, and the class of City’s midfield.

De Bruyne is presently sat on the bench, having a rest so he’s fresh for next week. That perfectly illustrates the gulf between first and second

5 by my count ..he has had 3 clear chances !

At 2-0 you are still in with a chance ..especially if you score next ..albeit a slim one .

We could have done with Sterling putting away a couple of those chances to take real belief into Tuesday night, he has contributed well to the game though other than those misses..

Bit of a soft underbelly when they don't get it their own way. Liverpool will be rather encouraged, if City are going into Tuesday with a bit of self doubt already present.

First goal was class second a great finish - why can we not play like that first goal more often? We have the skill.

Mrs Binners stuck a couple of quid on a United win at half time. The odds were 100/1 😳

Did someone let off a smoke bomb near City’s dressing room at half-time?

Some of the Utd fans are shouting uncouthly. At City's home ground too, not even Old Trafford. It's no wonder City are all a fluster, poor things.

ooof - should have been a penalty there.

What does Mrs Binners reckon on doubling up to not end 11 v 11 ?

This is a proper derby now! 😀

I’m very much enjoying the novelty of My darling Bolton-supporting ABU wife screaming for a United win! 😂

"Martin Atkinson's in danger of losing his grip"

Nothing to do with the talent on the pitch keeping theirs, obviously.

should have been a penalty there.

nah he got the ball - bit last ditch and you have seen them given especially as he got both ball and man but in that order - rode our luck for sure.

No she should not cash out

First time a Pep side has conceded 3 goals in consecutive games.

Mind you, there's Tuesday to come yet.

If she didn't cash out the extra £400 will be useful for some new nails.
