I'm just sat in a frankie & bennies having a coffee at the start of my working week and I thought of you and your family Mr King. I thought of the changes your circumstances will bring, you can do it all pal, I'll continue to pray for you and your family throughout. God bless you.

Afternoon folks, well the rollercoaster is back in full operation today. The oncologist called earlier with the biopsy results and they were not what she expected which was actually positive! I have berkits lymphoma and will be admitted today to ARI to the haematology ward to start treatment. It's going to be a slog for upto 4 months treatment as an in patient but the haematology doctor I spoken with was very positive and my age and fitness go in my favour and he expects a recovery.

Right must pack a bag and head off.

Will you update again later.

Thanks guys it means a lot.

Great news (well sort of....) - good luck with all the treatment and as we always say on here, if you need anything then ask; there'll be someone in your neck of the woods who'll help you out simply because you also ride a pushbike in the woods.

F*** YES.

Someone you don't know and will likely never meet just properly welled up at that news. Can't imagine the sense of hope that seeing that chink of light in what was starting to look like an ever darkening tunnel must feel like.

Great news!
I'm sat in a public place bawling my eyes out after reading this. I've been wanting to post since the OP but after losing Rachel a year ago I really don't know how to handle stuff like this. Thanks for letting us know.
All the best for the future.

****ing brilliant news, just about to head to ARI myself but for happier reason, scan 2 for baby number 2.

Offer of any assistance we can give still stands from page 2.

Now away and kick it's arse.

That is such good news, it has even cheered me up as well!

My mum had stage IV cancer, and her count was off the scale, a late diagnosis. That was 10 years ago.

She still makes the best bacon rolls I have ever tasted.

Great news - pretty rare Burkitt's if you aren't immuno-suppressed. Fingers crossed for your chemo!

That is absolutely great news!

Been thinking about your situation a fair amount since you first posted. It has certainly put my minor woes into perspective.

I can't imagine how dreadful it must be to think your time is up, but it looks like there is now real hope and a good chance you can pull through this and live to see your daughter grow up.

Best wishes and good luck!
