In my youth a managed to scrape most of my face off in a skateboard / rough old tarmac incident.... on halloween. When into A&E looking like a plate of raw mince. I'd taken so much skin off the A&E staff couldn't stitch anything and couldn't get a dressing on anything either. Eventually they just had to get a huge surgical dressing and cut eye holes in it and tape round my head. So I went home, amongst all the fancy dress revellers looking like a pound-shop Phantom of the Opera.
But she pinned it back on....

I saw four of our local shops here making some good sales with queues forming outside their shops. Some for fireworks others for make up cosmetics etc ... Glad to see there is business for them because through the year their business are normally slow.
