still managed to grind most of the transport to a halt. There was a car parked in a fence in Hill Lane at 6.30. and a bus was failing to climb the Col De Dale Road on my way to work.

About 2 inches in Ashurst, the little roads look well slippy (my missus ended up on her arse walking the kids to school - s****). I decided to work from home rather than drive to surrey, may be fit in a ride later.
