Is that the same as sleeping nekkid vs full pj's for her?

I don't care if mine are uncool, they're proper sheepskin ones and my feet would commit homicide rather than be parted from them in the winter...

matt are you married/in a long-term relationship?

If so, wear whatever you like in the house, you've not got anyone you're trying to impress.

Next slippers are ok, I can even wear them to the Tesco Express and not get (too many) funny looks.

Those homey's look bloody awful - you'd spend all your time going 'but they're a trendy and cool cottage industry label'

*puffs out chest*

Married, 17 years

Mind, it would be great to impress her still as a man of style

Mine are a lot like these. My Mum wore a sari for her wedding (civil partnership) and I wore a full Indian outfit for the first time in my life with these curly badboys. My Mum's half Indian so it's a legit shoe choice. Beyond food I have hardly any cultural link with my heritage, so it was good fun.

They are made symmetrically and became incredibly comfy after a few wears. They are the king of the male slipper and called khussa if you're brave enough.

This. I may look daft, but I can be smug about my warm feet while foolish people wearing their more fashionable slippers complain of the cold!

No such thing as a cool slipper. You have just doomed yourself to middle age in one statement. Ask for some for Christmas then it won't matter

I have these...[url= http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/index.cfm/product/blue-mountain-furry-pile-fleece-socks-with-dots/fuseaction/products.detail/code/3C110227/id_colour/122 ]clicky

Not the 'classic' slipper style but do the job of keeping my feet warm around the house just fine

Don't know anything about "cool", but you're not equipped to do battle with modern life without slippers. I'm always disappointed with the build quality on the standard M&S moccasins (they don't even make it to next Xmas before falling to bits). Those Homey things don't look much better. Does anyone have first hand experience of proper tough slippers suitable for a demanding, high mileage domestic user?

For the serious slipper afficionado only "Churchs" will do.

Have some Next ones with a suede exterior and fleece lining. Got laminate floors so they're a must here for warm feet

North Face Down Booties (uber snuggly)

Say 'rugged outdoor type who normally spends most of their time in the alps' ... leastways, that's my excuse ๐Ÿ™‚
