I've looked at lots of the recent threads on here but just want a little focussed input please.
Slept out on top of a cheviot hill last weekend and was a bit chilly in my 25yr old synthetic 2 season bag so would like something smaller, lighter and warmer to spend my birthday money on. I have a full on winter bag so don't need anything too warm. Current bag is 1kg roughly and about 19x34 cm but would probably squash a bit smaller than that.
Would like down I think (mostly single night and I reckon the hydrophobic down, waterproof outer and care makes that ok).
So Mountain Equipment Helium 400, Rab Alpine Pro 400, Rab Ascent 300 (maybe too cold) and Alpkit Pipedream 400 are the ones I'm considering.
Needs to be long - I'm 190cm.
