Sipping a gin and soda water and it doesn't quite taste right !

Tonic water becomes sickly after a while don't like juices or fizzy stuff either !

Anyone use soda water ?

Recommed anything ?

Crushed frozen lime cordial. Seriously, try it. Delicious.

Mix it 1 part to 100000 parts with a decent whisky.

The correct answer is ice. Lots of it. Maybe a bit of the liquid that the olives come in plus a dash of Noilly Prat to make a dirty martini.

Alternatively (and i know you don't want fruit juice but...) 50/50 with Roses Lime Cordial to make a Gimlet. Fantastic drink, and not what you'd expect. Again shaken with lots of ice.

D'Oh! took too long!

Although reading the OP again I think maybe you should reconsider your brand of tonic.

Can't choose the brand of tonic when you're out unfortunately

Was it not the esteemed Snoop Dogg who extolled the virtues of 'smokng endo' whilst 'sippin on gin and juice' alluding to the idea that it caused him to feel 'laid back, with my mind on my money and my money on my mind'

So juice would be my suggestion, I'd probably choose grapefruit

EDIT: Beaten to it by ninfan

Something you like. If you don't like mixers then drink something you don't need to mix with anything.

Or was it just me that drank triple gin and hooch at uni (now a long time ago) - it would be tonic for me these days.

Ice, ice and more ice.
you don't need much tonic. Tall slim glass full of ice, pour gin over the ice and fill the rest with tonic.
Has to be the most refreshing drink on the planet if done properly?

Yep. Also, their tonic is so good, I drink it without gin.

If you don't like mixers then drink something you don't need to mix with anything.

Rum. Good rum. Dark, unspiced good rum. On ice.

Keep the tonic, Ditch the gin. Foul liquid.
