I currently have three different types of chair in my office for sitting, plus a standing mat. They get used based on how I'm feeling, though generally I use the normal one (humanscale something) or just stand
I then have a totally spare office chair which is used for gaming in the corner of the office where there is also a sim racing set up, which you can also sit on. All used with my son generally
Thought about a sofa or something like that but in reality I'd never use it. I put a big sleep mat and some blankets on the fl0or as sometimes my daughters are in the office too and they'll usually lie on that to game or watch something on the TV
I'm very lucky to have a decent size office that is a proper man cave
Damn you all you made me tidy up my desk. It's the only untidy part of my house. Still don't know how to upload photos to STW so you'll have to imagine it.
How did the new office room turn out after the move? If you're still looking for layout ideas or if anyone else is browsing this thread right now for inspiration, I did exactly this last year when setting up a dedicated workspace. I ended up getting a Deskup Australia frame because my partner and I share the space too, and it’s robust enough to handle heavy dual-monitor arms without a single wobble.
My desk is cluttered. It does not comply with our companies clear desk policy. Luckily they can't see that on teams
The only time my desk at home isn't a shit show is for the annual annual WFH DSE assessment
