nice lens,Must have custom self timer, WiFi would be nice, don't need GPS
Anyone recommend anything? Cameras seem to last less than 12 months before breaking for me

There is very little choice for tough cameras with a decent lens. You may have to compromise on something. TG3 has the same timer but is has wifi so you can trigger it remotely from your phone
