so I had an engine management light on my golk mk4 GTI and i decided to but a vag com cable off ebay and down load ross tech vcds lite to try and figure out what was wrong
BUT
I've followed the instructions and somthing has went seriously wrong I think i have managed to wipe the ECU!!! the car wont start and it making all kinds of strange noises now
I plugged it all in and ran the auto run for my model it completed it, no fault codes but when i tried to start the car nothing, now the window wont even go up!!
Help!! anyone got any ideas!

Oooops... I've got a VAG Com lead + software (both from Ross Tech) and have never had any problems. Not that this is of any help to you, is there a forum on the ross tech site ?
