We usually do a couple of weeks in Morzine as a family but we fancy going somewhere different for a bit this summer.
I went to B-S-M years ago with the White Room and really liked it and La Thuile was cool too.
This isn't a pure riding holiday; we're just after some good times in the Alps and bikes will be part of that for some of us.
Therefore we are just looking for basic self-catering accommodation within walking distance of the town centres.
Any recommendations of places or websites? We don't want or need 'high end' stuff like hot tubs, that's just not us - somewhere to cook and sleep is all we need!

ALPINE-ESSENCE.COM is good for apartments and chalets in Vallandry and Peisey, if you don't mind staying a bit out of Bourg itself. Might be a bit upmarket beyond basic S/C accommodation, but they're a good company I've used before.
We've camped at the site in Bourg near the swimming pool a few times, and I've stayed in a chalet in Vallandry (on a pure riding holiday). Last family hol camping in Bourg was uncomfortably warm at times, especially overnight. This year's family hol (not pure riding hol) we've booked a chalet in Vallandry - it's pretty much on the marked MTB trail 'Woodstock' 😀
Mountain collection were the agency behind a place we stayed in Tignes last year. They seem to have a lot of properties you can access through them though.
