I was up at the studio when Steve arrived with the combine. He asked if I'd fancy a lap of the field? What sort of dumbass question is that? The cab is like being in a flight simulator. Fantastic stuff. Pity it only happens once a year.

I love this, they have finished down her McM ๐Ÿ˜† busy drilling in some fields as well.

I drove from the South of France to Finland a few years back at the end of July seeing the different stages of harvest was great, when I got to Sweden and Denmark everything was still green, in Finland they were still drilling ๐Ÿ˜†

Harvest in the Borders is usually 7 weeks later than the south of England.

Cheers,

Driving to Scandinavia is one of my dream trips as it happens ๐Ÿ™‚ I presume you got the ferry to Helsinki from Sweden?

Yep Viking line, sailing into Helsinki is brilliant you have to do it. I wont spoil the suprise but there was a ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜ฏ moment. Sailing out of Stockholm through the archipelago was brilliant thousands of islands with little houses on.

My dad has 'worked' on a farm every sunday, basically helping a mate who he met in his teens.(he's now in his 70's) As a kid i spent sometime at the farm, the Combine is a great bit of kit, bizarre thing to ride in too

I've sailed in and out of Helsinki on the small fast boat to Tallinn, it was cool too. I am thinking we'll take the caravan to Finland one day ๐Ÿ™‚

When I was about 12 or 13 I used to help out on a local farm & remember being on the combine (Claas Matador) with the farmer. He suddenly said 'grab the wheel & keep it in a straight line, I'll get the tractor & when I wave, pull that lever' So there's me unloading a combine into a moving tractor & trailer when I was 13ish.

Health & Safety. Pah!

I was wondering what could be so amazing about sailing into Helsinki (only ever done the Hebrides, Halifax NS, Norwegian west coast etc) and couldn't really work it out.#

Then I drilled into with Google street view ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
LOL ๐Ÿ˜†

(And this was the first place I landed)
