Hello font of all knowledge...

Fancy going to the science museum in the big smoke tomorrow but engineering work means it would involve driving.

Is there any sensibly priced / free parking nearby on a Sunday? I've seen two paid car parks not far away but if there's a free option close by that'd be even better.

Free parking near South Kensington/Chelsea/Mayfair - Not asking for much are you 😉

I am not local, but have been driving to that part of London for a long time. Cheapest options is usually to park further out and tube in, but you may get something on a Sunday

Parkopedia Suggests paring next to the Serpentine is the nearest 'low cost' option (£11.90) for 10am to 5:30pm

Or one of the rent my drive kind of things

If you find anything better please let me know!

Either way, enjoy your day at the museum, I must go again some time!

Look at JustPark, it’s your best bet. When my mate and I go up to London for gigs we park out at Chiswick Park and get the Tube in but JustPark will give you all sorts of locations.

South Kensington around earls court is free on street on Sundays. Not sure how close to the science museum you can get but I think you'll get pretty close. There's a pdf map on the council website.  Notting Hill is also free. That's a pleasant walk across Kensington Gardens.

Edit. Looks like the free on street goes right up to the south and west sides of the museum. No idea how busy it'll be but we had no problems finding a space last weekend.

Free parking on Ellis St, towards the southern end of Sloane Street if you're lucky. That s my usual spot if I need to be in town on a Sunday.

Perfect thanks all.

@Bentandbroken yes I know it seemed odd, free and London but I was sure I'd seen or heard reference to some free bits of parking on a Sunday on here or Facebook so thought it'd we worth an ask. 😁

Been today...... great fun. No help with parking, we went by train, but fwiw I thought the wonderlab gallery was good, but not the £28 that it cost us to get in good.

As long as stay West you can park in resident's parking bays free of charge on the Sunday, I normally park on Queen's Gate which is next to the Natural History Museum, I think you still might have to pay if you are in a payment space.
