That's a big relief. I doubt anyone will really know what happened except those who were there.
These kind of things tend to stick in the back of the mind though so I hope it doesn't harm his reputation too much.
Wrecker, hadn't spotted that on the Beeb rugby pages (Spiteful new layout included...)
What a pair of..... (Assuming that the arrest was for good reason). Much like Spikey when he got done for having a fight outside MacD's in Cardiff. Idiot.
Wrecker they are hardly as high profile as Care and havent been done yet so innocent until proven guilty.
Mongos drink driving caper was funny 8) golf cart on motorway hard shoulder at 4 in the morning, Care would love to have such panache ๐

Always an excuse eh? ๐

Ah, I get it now, it's only OK to moan about English players because they're high profile. Riiiiiiggggghhhhhhttttt
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would suspect international Welsh rugby players are probably more high profile in Wales than the English ones. They certainly were in Bangor, and that's 1) a town that doesn't care much about Rugby, and 2) full of English students.

Well, I think we've established the mental age of your argument if you think that. Dwarf tossing on the other hand, now that is funny!

Ireland have lost Paul O'Connell and Conor Murray for the rest of the 6N. Not a good time to lose POC with BOD not playing.
Not a well kept secret, but Ben Morgan has come home and signed for Gloucester. So the chances of him being picked for England are significantly less now.
LOL scamper!
In other news; sad to see the end a great career of a worthy ambassador of the sport, world champion, british lion, European cup winner, premiership championship winner, 6 nation grand slam winner and MBE.

Thanks Mad Dog and well done.

๐ณ I don't understand.. (I don't watch much club rugby so maybe the irony/joke is lost on me)
sadmadalan
Its a shame about the two injuries. Hope the both recover well.
POC has been back on form, but is likely to be replaced by an even more in-form player in Ryan. Many people believe he should have been starting already.
Murray's a big loss because he's different to the other options. He was having a great game against France until the injury.
Danny Care is a plank. He's doing himself no favours and could really learn from someone like Warburton's attitude. However, its nothing like the drinkdriving golf cart pr1ck. That's properlly dangerous to others (not just a building wall) and he should have been locked up and the key thrown away.

Danny Care was also arrested and charged for drink driving. Lest we forget. Thankfully, he did receive a driving ban, as Mongo did as well. In both cases, it would appear to have been the correct sentence for the crime.
Anyway, back to the rugby if we may...
Predictions for the weekend?
Wales v Italy - I don't think it's going to be the cakewalk some are saying. Italy will be tough. Wales to win by about ten, though.
England v France - Surely France can't be THAT bad again, can they? France by a score
Ireland v Scotland - A comfortable win for Ireland.
Ireland v Scotland - A comfortable win for Ireland.
Seems like a very confident assessment. So far Scotland have been doing their usual thing of doing just enough for a plucky defeat but I still don't think i'm ready to write them off yet.
Saying that, I probably should to save myself the pain and frustration that I've felt after watching the last dozen or so games.
On drink driving Tindall got done twice - and didn't even get a suspension from playing - and he was well mullared and speeding IIRC
its a good thing attitudes are changing

That's got nothing to do with him being an england rugby player though has it? I think being royalty trumps that.
EDIT; while we're at it;
http://www.****/sport/rugbyunion/article-1172677/Scotland-Glasgow-star-Parks-arrested-drink-driving.html
Excuse the source.
CFH, I'm not defending the plank. He needs a smack in the head. Modern sports salaries and good lawyers make it to easy to ignore a real problem.
But for me, the other one was three crimes ,each with increasing likliehood of death for an innocent member of the public: drinkdriving, on a motorway, in a golfcart.
Back to rugby ๐
Wales by about twenty points, they'll be on a high from their position, but with a point to prove at home. They're also strong opposite Italy's strengths (front row and 8 ) and could slaughter them out wide in the last twenty mins.
England France could go either way. France have real schizophrenia, and England on a high after last week's loss (?). Not a game to bet on, but fancy a "home upset" if you can call it that. Depends on getting Manu running, and not letting France dominate at scrum, lineout and backrow. Reading that back, doesn't sound like england at all- but makes sense to me.
Ireland Scotland - very close. I still think Scotland are loads better than their results, and were coming good at times against France. Still need to cut out a few silly errors but getting there. Ireland are never as good as favourites, and especially after a good underdog performance. But, I can't believe Ireland will let themselves get beaten at home again so i'll go small Irish win. It'll be interesting to see who captain's them. I'd like to see Ferriss. POC's a good "leader" but sh1t decision maker, so this is important. I still think he can be a "bit thick". BOD would never have kicked at goal from his own half with an extra player, a lead, and ten mins to go ๐
DRyan will be a very good replacement at lock, he's good enough to start without injuries.
drinkdriving, on a [s]motorway[/s] the hard shoulder of a motorway, in a golfcart.

There's a difference in my eyes. Neither is acceptable, though.
Jeez, hopefully a high profile player will turn out to be a serial killer. Then the argument about who is the naughtiest can finally be settled and we can get back to the rugby.
Austin Healey kills kittens. Regularly.
There. Is that better?
๐
Re the Ireland v Scotland prediction, Ireland will just be too strong, IMO. Scotland are really developing, and are possibly going to be a very good team next year, but they're still not quite there for me. Too many weak links, whereas Ireland certainly seem to be playing better as a team.
Of course Mongos behaviour was reprehensible and no better than others discussed here - but it sure as hell was funny.
OH FFS!
I agree with TJ.
๐ณ
๐
Don't start that, you'll break the internet.
There. Is that better?
Much better, thank you. ๐
You're probably right about Ireland Scotland, I think the Glasgow Ospreys result at the weekend is giving me false hope ๐
See - yo have broken it now!
Who is the most likely to be a serial killer? I suspect Philips
I am off to Dublin for the Scotland match, it was a suprise victory the last time we were in Dublin so fingers crossed for the same again. At the very least i am hoping for a decent match maybe even another couple of Scottish tries...maybe or is that too much to ask?
Think Ireland probably by 10-14.
Wales to beat Italy by about 20
England v France all depends on France but would not be suprised to see England leading at HT and for France to win by 7ish at FT
While we're on the predictions, who's going to be in the Heineken Cup final?
Sat 7 April Quarter final: Edinburgh v Toulouse,
Sat 7 Quarter final: Leinster v Cardiff Blues
Sun 8 Quarter final: Munster v Ulster
Sun 8 Quarter final: Saracens v Clermont Auvergne
Max Evans.
His cousin is Chris Evans, you know.
Edinburgh
Leinster
Munster
Clermont
I think the semis would then be
Munster v Edinburgh
Leinster v Clermont
Cant see past an all Ireland final
Who is the most likely to be a serial killer? I suspect Philips
Ewan Murray. In the name of the lord, obviously.
Got my tickets for the Edinburgh 1/4 final. they could well win that but I think yo are right beyond that. Leinster have been the class act of the HC but not unbeatable
De Luca in S Lamont on the wing, looks better balanced out back now
Scotland :
Stuart Hogg, Lee Jones, Nick De Luca, Graeme Morrison, Sean Lamont, Greig Laidlaw, Mike Blair, Allan Jacobsen, Ross Ford, Geoff Cross, Richie Gray, Jim Hamilton, John Barclay, Ross Rennie, David Denton.
Replacements : Scott Lawson, Euan Murray, Al Kellock, Richie Vernon, Chris Cusiter, Ruaridh Jackson, Max Evans.
4th match - nearly right in selection. Weir should be on the bench not Jackson. Welsh should be a replacement prop if not in the squad.
Robinson remains a plonker
Good team, should be a good game. Have fun.
Thanks for the heads-up on the "semis", I hadn't seen the way the draw works out. That was enough for me, and just pressed buy on a final ticket ๐

Agree and agree.
Although I'm not ready to turn on AR yet.
Why not Bruce?
he refuses to play talented youngsters until his had is forced, we have hardly won a competitive game under him plummeting down the world rankings
He is hold us back - any improvement this year is despite him not because of him.
this is exactly what the did selecting for England.
We will not improve while he is in change
Some of his selections have driven me insane (Jackson instead of Weir for example) but not to the same extent they seem to infuriate everyone else. I was actually happy to see Morrison in the squad last time and I'm happy this time as well. His form dipped but it came back and I think he deserved a spot in the squad. Give him the ball and you are guaranteed to make ground.
Tactically I think he is sound. At the moment it's stupid mistakes that are costing us dearly. He can't put the ball down over the line for them, it's up to the players to get themselves into a mental state that will stop them from fluffing passes and dropping balls.
I also want to see what happens after Steadman and Townsend are replaced (assuming Townsend will be replaced, I think he will). He inherited them and I don't know what the relationship with them is.
On a different note, I can't wait to see Hogg going up against Kearney ๐
Edit to add: Oh, and quite apart from all that, who do we get to replace him?
Here's a cracking try to lighten the mood. (OK it's slightly off topic but it's my favourite of the season so far.)
Edit to add: Oh, and quite apart from all that, who do we get to replace him?
Plenty of candidates. As Scotland coach will never be a top job we have a choice of second raters or people who failed elsewhere or up and coming coaches who want to make a name for themselves with a few exceptions. So lets go for the up and comng guys
My choices right now would be Todd Blackadder or John Kirwen - or Stuart Lancaster if he does not get the England job
That is a goodie
Queenland Reds scored a cracking try week 1 of the Super15 season. Think it was last play to win the match...will have a look for it
Queenland Reds scored a cracking try week 1 of the Super15 season. Think it was last play to win the match...will have a look for it
Yeah it was exciting although it was really just a very quick bloke breaking away and running a long way to score.
There was a cracking try from the Hurricanes (I think) where brilliant passing along the line inside the 22 made a try that most NH teams would have botched.
I'll see your super 15 touch rugby and raise you jonny may, not that i'm biased.
TJ I agree that AR isn't the best, but you can't blame him for the final pass/knock ons etc that are stopping Scotland from scoring this year
TimP - but you can blame him for the fact we have not put our best team out and that the players are not mentally in the right place.
We have gone to 11th in the world under him, one one game in each of the last 2 six nations and had our worst ever WC result
Results are worse than they shold be given the group of players, his decisons have contributed to the losses
teh buck stops with him
Tandemabramovic!
