I think you'll be fine!! Scotland played well in the end. Wales bench wasn't up to much.

Still I am loving Tshinza and Jenkins did very well...next week can we put Grady at 13 and see what happen!

That Wales team will be good soon enough but bigger is not quite there anymore.  They need a quality 10. Only home nation not to have 10 and a spare

Simple fact is Wales don't have the players. It doesn't bother me that much when we get beaten by a better team. Shit happens.

Martin Johnson questioning that performance by saying "we'll see where they are in two games time".  Aye you know what. We'll see where you are after the competition.

Well I enjoyed that in the end, there's something about being a Scotland fan that I still expected that it could all go wrong until about the 75th minute 🤣

Hastings is not to shabby. Granted he's no Russell but he's better than most as is kinghorn. Actually Hogg wouldn't be the worst 10 in the WC.

Literally the 75th till I felt we were going to win, nice for that feeling to not be against Italy for a change.

If Anscombe could string some games together Wales would look a lot better.

Next...who is next?

Anyway

Williams (no one else)

LRZ

Grady

Hawkins

Adams

Biggar (no one else)

Webb

Faletau

Morgan

Tshiunza

Beard

Jenkins

Lewis

Owens

Wyn Jones (Smith would be my pick but not in squad)

If we could move heaven and Earth not to have Brown and Baldwin on the bench that would be nice.

No Cuthbert then? In all fairness, despite the presence of Biggar and Jiffy I felt a tiny bit sorry for Wales when he came on.

Good job Scotland, we are all at sea at the moment, some chinks of sunlight but all a bit bleak at the moment. IMO reaping what the clowns at the WRU have sown.

I suspect Adams will be injured so Fluffbert will be on!! Watching him try to decide which way to run when Russell was about to kick was quite funny he was much happier when VDM just ran at him!!

I pretty much forgot he was playing until the very end of the game.

Wales were dreadful, but they still have some decent players and some of the younger ones looked like they may well come good. I also thought Webb, Patchell and Carre looked decent when they got on. I’m going to pray that by the end of the tournament, once the new coaching team have had a chance to do something, Wales will start to play more coherently. The game against Italy is going to be super tense. I’ll have to buy a decent sofa - maybe a Scotland fan on here doesn’t need theirs anymore? 😉

Only Ireland and Scotland can win a slam now.

Aargh dont put that pressure on us!

Mind you, Wales gave us our last 5 nations win, maybe history will repeat itself?

“Tshiunza and Jenkins have been so good.”

Yup, I got that wrong. Reffell was quiet in contrast to his performances in the prem.

Much less opportunity to jackel against such well drilled teams maybe?

Quiet is probably unfair and Tshiunza stands out more as he carries and jumps, but I had expected him to have had more impact. Mind you, apart from last 15 of the first half it would have been hard for him build momentum yesterday and our back row is a pretty settled unit.

Reffel was quiet but then it might be that in international games you just have less time. There are more turn overs in Gallagher prem games. The style of play is different.

Again the reason we need to bring more teams into autumn internationals, different styles of game. Japan and Georgia play different games you have to adapt to. England are tier 1 team who can't/couldn't adapt.  Farrell has played at sarries and England under very strict structures, he looks like he finds it hard to play outside those structures. Your game plan works if you can also adapt. How often do commentators say that England/sarries need to impose their game plan on the match. Very good when they can but struggle when they can't. Scotland's unstructured play was backed up with well drilled defence.

I think this weekends play has highlighted that others have moved on, England haven't.   The amount of skills / broken play on display yesterday was fascinating and would appear to be the en-vogue style.   England want to play a set piece game again, they are just going to be torn apart in this 6N, if not for the next 18 months if they don't change.

I've got plenty of booze in to gain an edge on England dulling down this game.  I don't want to to be  the lowest point of this weekends ^n matches but I think it will be, unless Italy win with some glorious rugby.

Scotland looked way less flashy against a much better opposition, however that just made them step it up. They played a level up from last week.

A much better game to watch, and Wales should take some comfort, despite the scoreline they looked good in so many areas.

Its like watching the Premiership every week. With the exception of London Irish, and the odd game where the overseas players light up the midfield, it's a formulaic approach week after week. The odd game in 3 will try to disprove that, IIRC Bath vs Gloucester, however, next week same as usual.

Willis, Chessum & Lawrence having a great game and England gain line defence is better. But it feels flat...  they aren't lighting me up at all.

Hassell Collins for all his club fervour isn't dominant, but Lawrence is knocking players out on the pitch - we've need that in the centres for years.

Ref doing England a few favours at the scrum which unsettled Italy a bit early on

But I think Italy always seem to struggle against England, even when England aren't in form.  I think it is the physicality of England forwards overpowers

Jack Willis is quickly earning himself a permanent place on the team.   Ludlum's a grafter but does Earl bring greater skills?

Dombrant isn't showing enough IMO, along with most of the backs.
