Really has been a bad year for people of our era.

The Ballad of Barry and Freda is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen

To paraphrase Horace, she leaves a monument more lasting than bronze. Her humour will live on! This makes me weep with laughter. Utter genius.

MCTD, me too, any time someone says they can't do it I get that song stuck in my head.
I remember seeing it as a kid and it's stuck with me all these years

Ah, Flashy. just watched that again - pure comic genius. If you can leave something like that behind, you've had a life that was worth living.

Very sad , I remember watching her with my dad as a teenager .I'll watch her with my son though and I'm sure he'll roll about with laughter like I did. The humour lives on!

Two of my favourite sketches.

You need to be of a certain age for this one (I am).

Extra-oridnarily talented woman, not just performances but her writing, she's given us many of Julie Walter's best lines.

A sad day.

Can't say I ever found her funny but she was definitely a significant part of pop culture as I was growing up. Taken far too soon. Cancer really is a bastard

Really really sad. She was just incredibly funny. RIP Victoria, and your friend Kimberley with the really dangly ear rings

They didn't have any yoghurts so I got you a meat and potato pie

A classic line. One of my favourites. Still, I don't think Greggs sell yoghurt do they binners?

They were just reading some of her best lines on the radio. Nobody else could have written...

"yes we had a lovely evening. He wanted me to stay over, but I haven't got the hips for a futon"

You can hear her delivering it

I saw Catherine Tate comment on how generous Victoria Wood was with lines for other people - as opposed to saving them for herself.

Amongst my favourites were Kitty from Cheadle Hulme for Patricia Routledge and Mary Brazzle for Julie Walters.
