RIP Eddie Jordan

He was older than I realised, but always seemed to enjoy and appreciate his life

I used to work at an engineering firm in Blackburn. The owner and sons were into motorsports. One of the brothers bought two ex- F1 Jordans that Eddie had released so that he could easily win the British Open Single Seat Championship. As storeman it was my job to sort out the massive spares kits that came with them. That was fun. :0/

It was also 'interesting' when a car was fired up in the workshop when you hadn't been given any warning...

I was always a fan of the Jordan 'buzzin hornets' F1 team BITD, they had such a cool vibe/livery. Eddie was a one of F1's characters too. RIP

Only just seen this in the news. I used to be a massive F1 fan back in the mid to late 90s. Always a fan of Eddie, was a massive disruptor in the sport with Jordan F1. Also helped that the 7Up cars looked lush. He's given so many drivers a chance at so many levels of motorsport.
Honestly feel a bit sad about it, he seemed like one of those people who had too much energy to die 🙁

Yeah, a stroke of genius to morph Benson & Hedges into Buzzin Hornets once tobacco advertising was banned. Me and a couple of fag ash lads changed brands to B&H just 'cos. Loved a party and a good drummer too by all accounts. Go Eddie.

Buzzin Hornets were also Bitten & Hisses on a few liveries, with the snake in the nose.
