I for one will regret her passing. I had Forsyth in the sweepstake.
I had the same reaction whrn I heard of Amy Whinehouses death. I couldnt believe it. I felt abit shocked.
R.I.P.
I dont get the weird negativity on the forum sometimes.
I struggle to see what relevance her being a tory is ...
Perhaps some of the haters would like to let us know when their close family members die so we can post less than sympathetic comments on the internet about them....
It would appear that someone's political leanings, and their success in an industry that isn't in their town of birth is enough to fire up the chips on many.
Unsurprisingly, it's the same petty comments from the same petty spectrum as per.
RIP Cilla a talented and hard working performer who made the most of her talent and her life.
Intrigued that those slagging off a "professional Scouser" seems to reinforce a few Scouse stereotypes themselves.
Poor them.

Indeed. You could almost say it takes one...
There are some bloody nasty pricks on this forum..
Nooo, you don't say?
As the world mourns the loss of TV legend

Yet you took the time to make a sarcastic post on a RIP thread. What a man ๐
RIP
Cilla.
so we're not allowed to pass comment on red top sycophantic hyperbole now.
Some right sad see you next Tuesday's on here at times. God bless Cilla.
I guess some folks around here didn't do well on Blind Date.

I gave it a go, but I think maybe it's too soon.
There was nothing she did professionally that even remotely floated my boat and obviously didn't know her personally so struggle to understand the headline news her passing has caused. However, choosing a topic like this on a day like this to make bigger social comment is a bit distasteful and not likely to influence many to your way of thinking.
Always really liked this one:
Yep agree that's a good one. Had forgotten how good some of her songs were, is it me or does there seem to have been a dearth of good songs a arranged well or is it the way music is now consumed. It's amazing what songs become a sound track to growing up, remember my mum playing that load whenever it came onto the radio.
Tribute programe to Miss Cilla Black TONIGHT ON ITV 1 21.00...........
Only just seen this. Here's the thing.
Someone's just died. Personally I'm ambivalent towards her and have little to comment. But.
Common decency would suggest that perhaps, just perhaps, lining up to have a pop at someone who's practically still warm is poor form. In my opinion. She might or might not have been a saint or similar to her on-screen persona in real life, but she was still a person, a mother, and as such should command a little respect in death.
TL;DR, see Wheaton's Law.
Apparently she died from knocked on her head after she fell down due to stroke.
The stroke was caused by a sudden change in temperature from walking out from her air conditioned house into the scorching out door temperature. It becomes a shock to her frail body.
Most old people in the far east would avoid moving between air conditioned room to outdoor in a sudden. Even for some younger people this is not good.
As a kid we used to run around all day at temperature around 30c and we were usually warned of not drinking ice cool drink immediately as our body would get a shock.
When I went back home for holiday in the far east the moment I stepped out from the plane I would suddenly feel intense pressure from the hot air and normally required to adjust for few days.
I tried to avoid air conditioned room when I was in the far east just to get acclimatised.
Therefore, when you travel to a hot country do remember the sudden shock and if not careful that's where problems start.
^ sorry just no. What you might find acceptable to joke about your own families death or demise might not be for her family.
Chewkw thank you that makes alot of sense
so to sum up chewwy,
the chilla in the villa did for old cilla .....
And this is why we can't have nice things.
